Question about Redistributing SSIS

From what I understand we won't be able to redistribute SSIS to a client machine. If I want to add file importing cababilities to my application (ussing a SSIS package) , the client machine will have to install the SSIS dll's on their machine.

I am just checking to see if my assumption is right.

Any inormation is much appreciated.

ShawnAbsolutely. SSIS is a not a application programming technology. Best usage secnario for SSIS is using it for ETL, Asychronous service requests and Data Mining.

You will need to have SSIS installed on the machine, where you want to run ssis package.sql
