Question

What are the steps in upgrading SQL 2005 Standard Edition to SQL 2005
Enterprise Edition? Would there be issue if SharePoint Portal is pointing to
that database?Hi
I would do something like:
1. Make sure that you meet all the criteria for "Version and Edition
Upgrades" in Books online.
2. Stop all applications that use the database(s).
3. Backup all the databases.
4. Install new version on top of previous version
If step 4 fails would be to remove SQL Server and install from scratch EE
version, then restore databases from 3. If that fails remove EE version try
with SE.
